Chief Minister gave a special task to Collector Saransh Mittar : Directed to expedite the revival work of drains connecting the Arpa river, The work of revival of 39 drains is in progress

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel instructed to speed up the improvement work of drains connecting it to give new life to the Arpa river in the Collector Conference through video conferencing today. At present, renovation work of 39 drains found in the river and originating from the river is in progress. The Development Program operated under the government’s priority plan Narva-Garuva-Ghuruva-Bari scheme includes those drains that will keep the Arpa river flowing.

The Chief Minister is giving priority from the beginning to revive Arpa. It flows through the Gorella-Pendra-Marwahi and Bilaspur districts. The Chief Minister has instructed to speed up the improvement work, focusing on all the drains connecting the Arpa river in these two districts. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today took information about all the important schemes of the government and the Corona epidemic control and relief system at Collector Conference.

The Chief Minister described the works of the district for prevention of Corona virus as laudable. He appreciated IG Bilaspur for the arrangements made for the migrant laborers, who took care of the food and other needs of the migrant laborers who came from far and wide and provided them with slippers.

24 lakh saplings will be planted in the district
This year, a target has been set to plant 24 lakh saplings in the rainy season, out of which more than 4 lakh saplings will be planted under MNREGA. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, 50 percent of the target will be planted by the Forest Department this year.

Tree plantation will start in the first week of July in the district, which is being prepared. Home access services of plants will be provided like last year.
