Family of Korba's Pradeep Kumar reached Bilaspur from Gandhinagar, Collector sends team to facilitate return to Korba

We wondered how would we  reach Chhattisgarh ..?  How our homecoming would be possible ..?  Due to Corona, we faced scarcity of food and drink.. our employer also refused to give us  food and shelter.. The worry of returning home with his wife with two children used to haunt him all the time. Thanks to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel ji .. who arranged a train to bring many such families including my family back to Chhattisgarh. Due to the efforts of such a Chief Minister, we have reached Bilaspur by train today. We have come to our Chhattisgarh, now I will be able to go to my house….  Pradeep Kumar Chauhan of Korba, who was trapped in lockdown in Gandhinagar due to Corona, said this while getting emotional.
The  Shramik Special train from Ahmedabad reached Bilaspur railway station platform number one at about quarter to ten this morning, more than eleven hundred workers on board breathed peace, their state of mind and feeling of satisfaction could easily be seen. Pradeep Kumar Chauhan, a resident of Nawadih village, nine kilometers from Hardibazar, has reached Bilaspur with his wife Smt. Santoshi Bai Chauhan and two young children, due to the efforts of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel. Collector Smt. Kiran Kaushal has sent a special team from the district administration to Bilaspur to bring this family to Korba. By this evening, Pradeep Kumar will reach Korba with his family, where they will be kept in the Quarantine Center for the next 14 days.
Speaking on the telephone, Pradeep Kumar Chauhan said that after Deepawali last year, he had gone to Gandhinagar to earn a living for his family.  Together with his wife and two daughters, one five-year-old and another two-and-a-half-year-old, he used to work in the brick kiln in the nearby village of Gandhinagar. Pradeep Kumar Chauhan said that the brick kiln business stopped due to the lockdown caused by the corona virus infection. His employer fed them for a few days, but later he also raised his hands. Money earned is also now on the verge of getting finished. In such a situation, due to the strictness of the lock down, they were not able to get even the necessary goods. We were worried to return to home as soon as possible. He told that in such a situation, it was learned that the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh has arranged trains to bring back the stranded people from other states.  Pradeep Kumar made his family’s full details available to the local administration and registered them and reached Bilaspur in the first train carrying the workers of Chhattisgarh. Pradeep Kumar has expressed gratitude and thanks to Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel for sending a train to bring back the people of Chhattisgarh who were facing hunger and thirst in another state away from home, in this environment of Corona pandemic.

It is noteworthy that special train has reached Bilaspur this morning with more than eleven hundred migrant workers of Chhattisgarh state from Ahmedabad. Workers from Bilaspur, Durg, Janjgir-Champa, Jashpur, Kawardha, Korba, Mungeli, Raigarh and Raipur districts have reached Bilaspur by this train. All these workers will be sent to their home districts after medical screening. Where again, after medical examination, all will be kept in quarantine centers for the next 14 days.
