President will give National Platinum Award to Collector Saurabh Kumar…Chief Minister congratulates…Honor will be held in Delhi on January 7

President Her Excellency Draupadi Murmu will honor the website of District Administration Bilaspur with National Platinum Award in a program organized at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on 7th January. The website of the District Administration has been selected for the National Platinum Award by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.

District Collector Saurabh Kumar will receive the award at the hands of the President. NIC Bilaspur’s DIO Arvind Yadav and Assistant DIO Manoj Kumar Singh will also be present on this occasion. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has congratulated the team of District Administration Bilaspur for this important achievement.

It is worth mentioning that this prestigious award is given to government websites which stand first in different categories. The website of Bilaspur District Administration has been given this award under the category of Best Web and Mobile Initiative Compliant with GIGW and SCability Guidelines.

The website of Bilaspur district has made innovation in the implementation of Central Government’s flagship scheme Digital India. In addition to uploading information about the schemes of the Central and State Government in the website prepared by NIC (National Informatics Center), special facility has also been given for the differently-abled.

Visually impaired can also listen to the information given in this website through software. Wherever the mouse cursor will go, the written information will be converted into voice. However, this facility is currently available in English only.

In the coming days, this facility will also be given in Hindi. For this the technical experts of NIC have started working. The special thing is that a special type of software has also been uploaded in the website for the visually impaired. You can use it for free. No extra amount will have to be paid for this.
