The 46th Foundation Day of Sipat Super Thermal Power Station was observed today. The foundation day of NTPC Limited, the major power producer of the country, was celebrated with great enthusiasm, following social distance as per Kovid-19 guidelines. The main function of NTPC’s 46th Foundation Day was organized in the energy building administrative building complex. Where Chief Guest Padmakumar Rajasekharan, Executive Director Sipat was given a guard of honor by the soldiers of the Central Industrial Security Force. Chief guest Mr. Rajasekharan inaugurated the ceremony by hoisting the NTPC flag. During this time, the NTPC song was sung by all the employees present.
Shri Rajasekharan, in his address, shared the major achievements achieved by NTPC in the last years while heartily congratulating all the employees on the glorious 46th Foundation Day of NTPC. He said that NTPC has a total installed capacity of 62910 MW and our vision is to become the world’s leading power company, powering India’s development. NTPC ranks first among public enterprises in the country in Forbes’ World Best Employer 2020 list. Also drawing attention to the major achievements achieved by the Sipat project last year, he said that 14135 with 92.36 percent PLF.Ranked third among all NTPC coal stations by generating 54 million units of electricity annually. In addition to all these, in the Korana period, following the social measures and all other measures, along with electricity generation, mask sanitizer sabun was distributed to the district administration and district panchayat in the surrounding villages.
